Ladybugs - Mariquitas/ San Antonio

Why did we choose a Ladybug and the wheat?

Let's get  information about both:

Ladybugs
Many people are fond of ladybugs because of their colorful, spotted appearance. But farmers love them for their appetite. Most ladybugs voraciously consume plant-eating insects, such as aphids, and in doing so they help to protect crops.
Their distinctive spots and attractive colors are meant to make them unappealing to predators. Ladybugs can secrete a fluid from joints in their legs which gives them a foul taste. Their coloring is likely a reminder to any animals that have tried to eat their kind before: "I taste awful." A threatened ladybug may both play dead and secrete the unappetizing substance to protect itself.

There is no documentation that states lady bugs bring good luck, but the idea likely originated from some gardeners who discovered that lady bugs play a significant role in keeping a healthy, vibrant garden.

Other common lady bug myths or superstitions:
If a lady bug lands on you, something wonderful will happen to you.
If a lady bug lands on a house, car or piece of furniture, you will receive a newer, better version of that object
If you see a lady bug you will have good luck
If you kill a lady bug you will have bad luck

Wheat
Wheat is a cereal grain. Wheat is one of the first cereals known to have been domesticated, and wheat's ability to self-pollinate greatly facilitated the selection of many distinct domesticated varieties. This grain is grown on more land area than any other commercial food.
Wheat is the leading source of vegetable protein in human food. It is a major diet component because of the wheat plant’s agronomic adaptability with the ability to grow from near arctic regions to equator, from sea level to plains of Tibet, approximately 4,000 m (13,000 ft) above sea level. In addition to agronomic adaptability, wheat offers ease of grain storage and ease of converting grain into flour for making edible, palatable, interesting and satisfying foods.
